Terrance A. Prout is an associate with Kuchler Polk Schell Weiner & Richeson, LLC. Mr. Prout graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, focusing on the Late Romantic Period. In 2000, he earned his juris doctorate degree from Tulane School of Law.
Mr. Prout began his legal career representing corporate defendants in mass joinder and class action asbestos/silica related litigation, products liability litigation under the LPLA and railroad litigation. Mr. Prout’s asbestos/silica experience has allowed him to depose and evaluate hundreds of claimants and practice in almost every judicial district of Louisiana. Mr. Prout has also successfully handled products liability claims under both the pre and post-LPLA law for manufacturers and product sellers. Mr. Prout’s railroad litigation experience has allowed him the opportunity to work on class action/mass joinder train derailments, toxic releases, crossing accidents, personal injury claims, and FELA claims for three different railroads.
From 2008 until joining Kuchler Polk Schell Weiner & Richeson, Mr. Prout developed a balanced plaintiffs’ and corporate defense practice, which included personal injury, contractor fraud, illegal wage forfeiture, nursing home care and family law litigation as well as title insurance, real estate, and home warranty defense litigation.
Mr. Prout is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and all Louisiana State Courts. He is also a member of the Louisiana, New Orleans and American Bar Associations and DRI and is a Loyola University Institute of Politics Fellow. His primary practice areas are Toxic Tort Litigation, Premises Liability, Products Liability, Commercial Litigation and General Civil Litigation.
Mr. Prout resides in Gentilly Terrace with his wife, Gabrielle, and their daughter, Adrienne. |
